SLUFF

Sluff send a strong guitar-driven signal of maturity and determination, in the cathartic slacker mood that has served them well over the last years. Debut album On Debris (2018) and EP Constructions (2016) oscillated between scrutinized self-assessment and desperation, it was not only a finding to oneself in terms of content, but also musically. After intra-band tensions Sluff immersing themselves in a grander, even more melodic touch, grown surer with experience. A lush production counters their fictions, evoking a certain generational dislocation with pop appeal. Upcoming LP World Wide Worries (Autumn 2021) taps into the very specific emotions of something universal with well tailored lyrics and leavens the gloom a little with the perspective of age. Sluff’s newest full-length is wrought with emotional disconnection, epic sweep and intimate catharsis.
